Despite taking five sacks and a lot of abuse throughout the game, QBs Marcus Randall and JaMarcus Russell showed some progress by completing 19 of 30 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns without any interceptions.

STILL NEEDS SOME WORK
A lot of things went wrong, but one thing continues to go wrong week after week. With kicker Chris Jackson missing another extra point, LSU kickers are now 7 of 11 on extra-point attempts.

ROSTER REPORT
WR/KR Skyler Green tried to return from an injured left ankle that has bothered him since the preseason and even caught three passes for 24 yards and returned one punt for 16, but he also limped a lot. "If I had to give myself a percentage I'd say 85 to 90 percent," Green told the Baton Rouge Advocate. "There are certain positions the ankle gets caught in that I'm in agonizing pain. Then I walk it off and go again." ... In addition to Green's injury, center Ben Wilkerson suffered an injury to his right knee midway through the third quarter and returned with 12:05 left in the game. WR Craig Davis suffered a "stinger" injury to his left shoulder in the third quarter and DE Kirston Pittman suffered a thumb injury, while WR Dwayne Bowe (ankle) and CB Corey Webster (knee) both tried to play through their injuries. Even coach Nick Saban took a hard-but-accident elbow shot from assistant coach Derek Dooley during the second half and suffered a cut under his right eye. ... RB Alley Broussard and FB Jacob Hester each made his first career start for LSU.
