Tigers report: Notes, quotes
SCOUTING THE OFFENSE
LSU continues to play both JaMarcus Russell and Marcus Randall at quarterback with mixed results, but a revamped offensive line making up for the absence of injured center Ben Wilkerson played well against a tough Alabama defense. The Tigers are deep at running back, but versatile junior Joseph Addai has emerged as the most productive back over the past month.
SCOUTING THE DEFENSE
Trailing Alabama 10-6 and in need of a break last week the Tigers made two of their own. First CB Corey Webster intercepted a pass in the end zone and returned it 44 yards for a touchdown, changing the tone of the game and the field position. Then DE Marcus Spears stripped Alabama QB Spencer Pennington and LB Cameron Vaughn returned the loose ball eight yards for a touchdown and the go-ahead points.
QUOTE TO NOTE
"They don't like us, we don't like them, it's the same old thing. We're not good friends. So you never know what's going to happen." -- LSU DT Kyle Williams on playing Ole Miss.
