Tigers report: Notes, quotes
GAME BALL GOES TO
TB Alley Broussard -- Despite the lack of help from the passing game, Broussard ran for a school-record 250 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries.
KEEP AN EYE ON
DB Jessie Daniels -- Daniels prevented Ole Miss from rallying by intercepting two passes in the last 4 minutes, including one at the LSU 38 with less than a minute left.
QUOTE TO NOTE
"I wasn't pleased. And they (the SEC) can fine me or whatever they want with this (officiating) crew. Maybe they're making up for last week. ... What did we have, eight holding penalties? We'd better not be (penalized for) blocking them to the ground. 'Cause that's not holding." -- LSU coach Nick Saban, who complained about his team's 10 penalties for 76 yards. The previous week, LSU cornerback Corey Webster was not called for pass interference in a 26-10 win over Alabama after he appeared to push off the Crimson Tide receiver. SEC head of football officials Bobby Gaston later apologized to Alabama for the blown call.
