SCOUTING THE OFFENSE
The quarterbacks have struggled with inconsistency all season, but the line and the backs have held up their end in the second half of the season by consistently pounding opponents with the running game. When senior QB Marcus Randall played his best game of the season and accounted for four touchdowns in the final regular season game it showed what the Tigers could do with a complete game, winning 43-14 at Arkansas.

SCOUTING THE DEFENSE
The perception that LSU isn't as good defensively as it was during last year's national championship might not be based in fact. In fact, last year's defense allowed 252 yards per game, while this year's defense is allowing 249.9 yards per game, second in the SEC to Alabama and third in the nation.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"Any time guys have an opportunity to practice 14 times, which we will probably make 13 times and a walkthrough, that's almost like a spring practice. That's got to be beneficial, especially to the young players who have an opportunity to learn. Young guys don't get reps after early in the season. They have to become scout team guys and don't get the exposure to us." -- LSU coach Nick Saban.
