BY THE NUMBERS
3-1 -- LSU's bowl record under coach Nick Saban, including a 21-14 over Oklahoma in the 2004 Sugar Bowl for a share of the national championship.

GAME OF THE YEAR
LSU 24, Florida 21 -- After losing to Auburn and Georgia on the road in a three-week period, LSU traveled to Florida for another road game against a ranked team. Florida led 21-7 before LSU rallied in the second half behind senior QB Marcus Randall, who drove the Tigers 50 yards for the game-winning touchdown on a 10-yard pass to RB Joseph Addai with 27 seconds left. The Tigers haven't lost since.

MATCHUP TO WATCH
LSU's running game vs. Iowa's run defense -- LSU has won down the stretch this season by pounding opponents with the running game, but Iowa leads the Big Ten in run defense, allowing just 90.2 rushing yards per game.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"We knew we were going to have a tough ballgame. LSU lost to Auburn by one point. Either way, it was going to be a tough draw for us. LSU got off to a little bit of a rocky start, just like us, and came on strong in the home stretch." -- Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz on playing LSU in the Capital One Bowl.
