Tigers report: Strategy and personnel

STARS OF 2005: RBs Justin Vincent, Alley Broussard and Joseph Addai - All three have been proven producers at some point in their LSU careers. Between the three, the Tigers should continue to be dangerous in the running game.

LB Cameron Vaughn - The last two LSU players to make the switch from will linebacker to the inside mike linebacker position, Lionel Turner and Bradie James, became key players and leaders for the Tigers.

TOP NEWCOMERS
QB Ryan Perrilloux - If JaMarcus Russell and fellow sophomore Matt Flynn continue to struggle, the coaches might just turn to Perrilloux, the nation's top-ranked prep quarterback prospect in 2004.

CB Sammy Joseph - With LSU losing both starting cornerbacks, Corey Webster and Travis Daniels, Joseph will get the chance to step right in after transferring from Colorado and sitting out last season.

ROSTER REPORT
The Tigers need more than just Joseph to step up at cornerback, so it's a good thing cornerback Mario Stevenson is back after missing most of last season with a broken leg.

-- Sophomore WR Amp Hill continues to rehabilitate a knee injury from 2003.
