GAME BALL GOES TO
DE Melvin Oliver -- Oliver spent a lot of time in the Arkansas backfield making life difficult for quarterback Casey Dick. Oliver finished with a team-high nine tackles, three sacks and a quarterback hurry and recorded one of the game's decisive plays when he sacked Dick on a third-and-11 play from LSU's 34-yard line with 1:13 The sack moved Arkansas out of field goal range.

KEEP AN EYE ON
FS LaRon Landry -- After dropping a sure interception earlier in Arkansas' final drive, Landry came through on fourth-and-18 to secure the victory for LSU. Landry also recorded five sacks and broke up two passes.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"I'm sure Auburn's pretty devastated. I know they were hoping for an Arkansas win, but we can't worry about what Auburn's doing. We're going to Atlanta and going out with a bang. That's why I came back for my senior year -- to go out on top." -- LSU senior cornerback Ronnie Prude.
