Arkansas converted 9 of 16 third-down plays into first downs. "I'm extremely frustrated," Ole Miss defensive coordinator Chuck Driesbach said. "I'm pulling my hair out. I don't have any hair left."

ROSTER REPORT
Like the Rebels themselves, RB Vashon Pearson's season seems to be fading away. After rushing for at least 96 yards in four consecutive games, Pearson rushed for only 31 yards against Tennessee, then did not start the Auburn game for a violation of a team rule. He missed practices during the open date for a family emergency and illness.

Redshirt freshman RB Alan Abrams made his second straight start and rushed for 23 yards on four carries against Arkansas. Sophomore Jamal Pittman played next and rushed for 14 yards on two carries. Then Pearson, who has run for 629 yards this season, finally played in the middle of the fourth quarter with the game out of control, carrying three times for 11 yards.

"That's just how we were set going in," Ole Miss coach David Cutcliffe said. "Vashon had missed a lot of work. There's no particular reason. I thought he ran well when he was in there. We have three guys competing for playing time, and it will probably stay that way. Whether the rotation changes or not, who knows?"
