SCOUTING THE OFFENSE
The Trojans have a great running game but their inability to throw the ball effectively proved most costly in last week's 13-9 loss at Arkansas State. Troy averages more than 150 yards rushing but has completed just 45 percent of its passes this season.
SCOUTING THE DEFENSE
Troy's defense will keep it in every game. Opponents average less than 100 yards rushing a game and the secondary is as talented as any in the conference. Unfortunately, the defense has been forced to do too much and it has resulted in the Trojans being all but eliminated from winning the Sun Belt.
QUOTE TO NOTE
"It's never a good time play at LSU." -- Troy coach Larry Blakeney, whose team lost last week to Arkansas State and must regroup and play at LSU this week.
