Aggies report: Strategy and personnel
LOOKING GOOD
Credit the Texas A&M offensive line for holding up throughout the win against Iowa State. The Aggies consistently opened holes while executing touchdown drives of 80, 50, 77, 76 and 80 yards, which controlled the clock with 52 plays collectively. RB Cyrus Gray capitalized with his second straight 100-yard day rushing, but benefitting most was QB Jerrod Johnson, who is much more effective when the Aggies aren't faced with predictable passing situations.
STILL NEEDS WORK
It was difficult to fault any phase as Texas A&M earned a complete win with its domination of Iowa State. The Cyclones' big plays, what few there were, caused little damage. The Aggies also did a nice job containing Iowa State RB Alexander Robinson, who settled for 3.8-yard average, gaining 76 yards on 20 carries.
ROSTER REPORT
--WR Jeff Fuller, who played sparingly a week earlier after returning from a broken fibula, led Texas A&M with 67 yards receiving against Iowa State. Fuller missed four games with his injury.
--DE Von Miller, who entered the Iowa State game as the national leader in sacks, added one to bring his season count to 13.5.
