Commodores report: Strategy and personnel
THIS WEEK'S GAME: Vanderbilt at LSU, Oct. 30 -- Vandy gained some confidence and momentum last week, but it's probably just temporary. LSU has made a habit of turning the ball over, which could open the door for Vandy to keep this game close, but the Commodores have their own habit of finding ways to lose close games.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
QB Jay Cutler -- Cutler is often Vandy's best bet to move the ball by his arm or his legs. Cutler has completed 99-of-153 passes for 1,217 yards with 6 TDs and 3 INTs this season, and he has gone five games without an interception.
OLB Moses Osemwegie -- The leader of Vandy's junior-dominated defense, Osemwegie ranks second in the SEC with 9.9 tackles per game, 69 total.
ROSTER REPORT
RB Kwane Doster suffered a thigh bruise while he was rushing for 117 yards on 15 carries against Eastern Kentucky last week, but he's expected to start Saturday at LSU. ... DE David Carter (ankle) and backup linebacker and special teamer Funtaine Hunter (stress fracture) are both expected to miss the LSU game.
