Dave Christensen is out as Wyoming's head coach, a source told CBS Sunday. He was 27-34 in five seasons with the Cowboys.
The former Mizzou offensive coordinator produced one of the country's fastest up-tempo attacks this season after taking over play-calling responsibilities. That sparked a 4-2 start. However, Wyoming's defensive issues were too much for his team to overcome. The Cowboys, 5-7, ranked No. 111 in scoring defense.
Christensen, according to sources, is expected to be considered to join the offensive staffs at either Utah or Florida.
