UConn requests interview with Michigan State DC Pat Narduzzi

UConn has requested an interview with Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi about the Huskies' coaching vacancy, according to a source.

An interview could take place this week. UConn made the request before the regular season ended.

Arguably the best defensive coordinator in the country this year, Narduzzi led a Spartans defense that gave up a national-best 80.77 rushing yards per game. Narduzzi also has Northeast ties. Michigan State held Braxton Miller to 8-of-21 passing in Saturday's Big Ten championship game. Ohio State's 273 rushing yards were by far the most MSU gave up on the season, and the Spartans still held the Buckeyes scoreless in the first and fourth quarters.

Narduzzi appears to have options, whether that be staying at Michigan State or exploring future Big Ten openings.
