Doyel had say -- now MMA readers have theirs (plus Doyel, of course)
So you voted. And you voted. And you voted.
After explaining my Top 25 MMA fighters of all time earlier this week, I asked for yours. And you gave until it hurt ... until it hurt me to count all those freaking votes. But I counted them all, and the name at the top of the official CBSSports.com Reader Top 25 won't come as a surprise.
Here's your poll. The comments, however, are all mine.
1. Fedor Emelianenko: He was your No. 1 by a huge margin. The gap between Fedor and No. 2 was as big as any gap in the entire poll. That's strong.
2. Georges St. Pierre: Didn't actually receive a lot of No. 1 or No. 2 votes, but he was in just about everyone's top five, which landed him right here.
3. Wanderlei Silva: When he was good, the Axe Murderer was great, wasn't he?
4. Anderson Silva: Just barely behind W. Silva in your poll. I'd love to see these two guys fight. Clinical Anderson would pick apart wind-milling Wanderlei.
5. B.J. Penn: He would have finished second, but a couple of you jokers ranked Penn No. 25. I should have thrown out those polls on general principles.
6. Randy Couture: I'm guessing his recent inactivity hurt his ranking.
7. Chuck Liddell: Keith Jardine received no consideration, FYI.
8. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira: Big Nog had plenty of top-five votes. His poor little brother got nada.
9. Sakuraba: A little love for Pride's resident Gracie Hunter.
10. Matt Hughes: I thought you'd rank him higher. I'm proud that you didn't.
