The following Contest (the "Contest") is intended for viewing in the fifty (50) United States and Washington DC and shall only be construed and evaluated according to United States law. Void outside of the U.S. and where prohibited by law. Do not proceed in this Contest if you are not located in the fifty (50) United States or DC. Further eligibility requirements are contained within the official rules below.

Predict-A-Bowl Official Contest Rules

1. ELIGIBILITY: No purchase necessary. You must be a SportsLine Member in order to enter. Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and Washington DC who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority (whichever is greater) in your state of residence at time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico, all US territories and possessions and where prohibited by law. This promotion is governed by US law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Employees of SportsLine.com, Inc., (the "Administrator & Prize Provider") CBS Broadcasting, Inc., Ford Motor Company (the "Sponsor") and Y & R (collectively "the Contest Entities") and each of their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and members of the immediate family or household of each are not eligible to participate. Immediate family member is defined as a parent, sibling or any person residing in the same household as an employee.

2. HOW TO ENTER/SELECTION DEADLINES: Contest begins on November 11, 2004 and ends on December 13, 2004 at 11:59:59 PM (ET) ("Contest Period"). If you are an existing SportsLine Member, you may participate by submitting your ID and Password and follow the directions to submit your selections. Non-SportsLine members may obtain a SportsLine ID and password by clicking on the "SignUp FREE" button and completing the SportsLine registration form. You will be asked to provide your name, address, e-mail address, phone number and birth date and to select an ID and Password. There is no fee to obtain a SportsLine ID and password. From all the Division IA college football teams, you will be required to select the eight (8) college football teams that you anticipate to be playing in the four major Bowl Championship Series college football bowl games (Orange Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Sugar Bowl, and the Rose Bowl), including the specific match-ups in each college football bowl game. Participants may change their entry prior to the entry deadline, but only the last set of picks you submit before the deadline will be considered as your one official entry in the contest. Limit one entry per person. Entries must be submitted by December 13, 2004 at 11:59:59 PM ET. All entries become the property of SportsLine.com and will not be returned. Contest Entities and each of their respective shareholders, employees, parents, directors, officers, affiliates, representatives, agents, successors, and each of their related companies, agencies, distributors, sponsors and all prize suppliers/participants are not responsible for lost, damaged, stolen, late or misdirected entries, and all such entries are ineligible. Altered, illegible, or incomplete entries are also ineligible. Administrator reserves the right to modify these rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Contest. Winner will be notified by e-mail and postal mail within two (2) days following the determination of the winner.

3. GRAND PRIZE: (the "Grand Prize")

  • Round trip Coach Airfare for two from a major U.S. airport closest to winners home
  • 2 night Hotel Accommodations (Based on Double Occupancy and selected by the Administrator)
  • $2000 towards tickets to the 2005 Orange Bowl Game

The Actual Retail Value ("ARV") of the Grand Prize will vary depending on Grand Prize Winner's (the "Grand Prize Winner") city of departure, date and time of trip and other factors. If actual value turns out to be less than stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded. Grand Prize Winner's guest must be a least eighteen (18) years of age or older, unless traveling with a parent or guardian. Such Grand Prize Winner and travel companion must travel together and must travel on dates as determined by SportsLine.com. No responsibility is assumed for any cancellation, postponement or delay, in whole or in part, of the game or any prize-related events. PLEASE NOTE: All taxes, meals, entertainment, tips, ground transportation to, from and between the airport, hotel and game, and other items not specified herein are the responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner. Grand Prize may not be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion. Administrator reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if an advertised prize becomes unavailable. Any portion of prize not accepted by the Grand Prize Winner will be forfeited.

Total ARV of Grand Prize $4000.00

4. WINNER SELECTION/ODDS: The Grand Prize Winner will be determined when final match-ups have been announced for each of the 4 college football bowl games. The contestant who correctly predicts all four college football bowl match-ups with the earliest time stamp of entry will be declared the winner. In the event that no one contestant correctly predicts the eight teams that will play in each of the bowl games, the winner will be the contestant with the next highest number of correct selections and earliest time stamp. In the event of a tie, the Grand Prize Winner will be selected at random from all tied contestants. (In order for tie to occur, contestant must have correctly selected the four match-ups with identical time stamps for their entries.) The drawing, in the event of a tie, will be conducted under the supervision of Administrator whose decisions are final. Winner will be notified by e-mail and postal mail within five (5) days following the determination of the winner. Odds of winning the random drawing in the event of a tie depend on the number of tied contestants.

5. HOW TO CLAIM PRIZE: Grand Prize Winner will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and, where legally permissible, a Publicity Release ("Affidavit/Release"). Travel Companion (the "Travel Companion") will be required to sign a Travel Companion Liability Release and where legally permissible, a Publicity Release. Affidavit/Release must be signed and returned within two (2) business days of winner's receipt of the documents via certified mail. Failure by Grand Prize Winner to execute documents or if Grand Prize Winner is found to be ineligible, or does not comply with the Official Rules, he/she will be disqualified and an alternate Grand Prize Winner will be selected. If Affidavit/Release is returned as undeliverable, the Grand Prize may be forfeited and an alternate Grand Prize Winner will be selected. All federal, state or other tax liabilities arising from this Contest will be the sole responsibility of Grand Prize Winner.

Except where prohibited by law, the Grand Prize Winner's acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Contest Entities to use said Grand Prize winner's name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and address (city and state) worldwide and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without further compensation.

6.Contest Conditions: This Contest is subject to these Official Rules. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Administrator and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules. By participating, you release and hold harmless Contest Entities and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Contest or any prize won including without limitation, the Grand Prize. Grand Prize Winner and entrants agree that the Contest Entities shall not be responsible or liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from participating in this Contest including, but not limited to, typographical or other human or technical errors in the offer or administration of this Contest errors in advertising or in these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of the Grand Prize Winner, or the distribution of the Grand Prize, the acceptance/possession and/or use/misuse of any part of the Grand Prize and/or any injury or damage to entrant's or third person's property related to or resulting from any part of the Grand Prize or any part of this Contest Administrator, in its sole discretion, may disqualify any entrant from participation in the use of any or all portions of this Web site, and refuse to award the Grand Prize, if entrant engages in any conduct Administrator deems to be improper, unfair or otherwise adverse to the operation of the Web site or detrimental to other entrants of the Web site. Such improper conduct, includes, but is not limited to, falsifying personal information required during entrant registration or Grand Prize claim, violating any term or condition stated herein, accumulating entries through methods such as automated computer scripts or any other programming techniques, allowing others to use entrant's personal information for the purpose of accumulating entries, or intentionally trying to defraud, reverse engineer, disassemble or otherwise tamper with the computer programs on this Web site. Entrant further acknowledges that the forfeiture of prize(s) and/or return of any prize(s) shall in no way prevent Administrator from pursuing other avenues of recourse such as criminal or civil proceedings in connection with such conduct. In the event of a dispute, entries made by Internet will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Administrator reserves the right at it's sole discretion to disqualify entrant, if entrant attempts to tamper with the promotion process, undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other participants or Contest Entities representatives. Administrator reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion in the event the fairness or integrity of the promotion is compromised. In the event of cancellation/termination, Grand Prize Winner will be selected from among all eligible entries as of the cancellation/termination date. Entrants agree that Administrator may void any part of the Grand Prize that entrant may have won and/or require the return of any part of the Grand Prize that Entrant may have won as a result of such improper conduct. Entrant further acknowledges that the forfeiture of part of the Grand Prize and/or return of any part of the prize(s) shall in no way prevent Administrator from pursuing other avenues of recourse such as criminal or civil proceedings in connection with such conduct CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, ADMINISTRATOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY'S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

7. INTERNET: Contest Entities are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incorrectly addressed, incomplete, illegible, undeliverable or destroyed entries resulting from any reason, including: any hardware or software failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions; typographical or system errors; problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers or computer equipment; or technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at a Website, or any combination thereof. Contest Entities are also not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing the Contest, downloading any material for the Contest or other telecommunications malfunctions which may limit an entrant's ability to participate. If, for any reason, this Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the control of Contest Entities which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest Administrator reserves the right at it's sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.

8. Rules/Winner Information: For winner information or an additional copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope by January 31, 2005 to: Predict-A-Bowl Contest , PO Box 407000, Ft. Lauderdale FL, 33340. Specify "Rules" or "Winner' List". Grand Prize Winner information available after January 31, 2005.

9. DISPUTES. This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Florida, without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Contest, entrants agree that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Florida having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, including attorneys' fees, other than entrant's actual out-of-pocket expenses (e.g. costs associated with entering), and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
