Angels' Todd Cunningham: DFA'd by Angels

Cunningham was designated for assignment by the Angels on Saturday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.

Cunningham made a trio of starts after being called up last Saturday, but he struggled to notch just one hit in 12 at-bats. The switch hitter will likely land back at Triple-A Salt Lake if he passes through waivers unclaimed. The move comes in response to the need to free up a 40-man spot for Tim Lincecum, who will start Saturday's game.
