Bregman will start at third base and bat sixth in his MLB debut Monday against the Yankees, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Luis Valbuena will shift over to first base while Marwin Gonzalez (ankle) takes a seat for the Astros' series opener against the Yankees. Bregman's arrival is expected to give Houston's offense a boost after he hit .306/.406/.580 with 20 home runs, 61 RBI, seven steals and a 47:38 BB:K in 80 games between Double-A Corpus Christi and Triple-A Fresno.
