Paulino (elbow) will begin the Triple-A season on the disabled list, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Paulino suffered a bone bruise in his throwing elbow during a March 10 game against the Cardinals in which he pitched three scoreless innings. The 23-year-old was subsequently shut down from throwing, as team doctors recommended two weeks of rest before returning to a throwing program. Once healthy, Paulino has the potential to contribute to the big league club during 2017.
