Lowrie will play second base and bat second against the Angels on Wednesday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
Lowrie will move to second in the lineup after mashing in the six-spot for the first two games of the year (5-for-8, 1.750 OPS). This will be the third straight righty the A's will be facing, so it appears manager Bob Melvin is just switching up his lineup, though his plans should become more clear as the season progresses.
