Hahn (1-1) gave up seven earned runs on eight hits and two walks over 3.1 innings in Sunday's 9-2 Cactus League loss to the Rockies.

Hahn endured his first rough outing of spring after coming into Sunday with just three runs allowed over 11.2 innings. The right-hander is still a leading candidate for a rotation spot, particularly with Sonny Gray (lat) already missing the beginning of the regular season. Hahn pitched to contact against a Rockies lineup with several regulars and surrendered a solo home run to Charlie Blackmon in the fourth to cap off his afternoon. The righty's post-game assessment of his performance centered on his faulty location. "It kind of got out of hand there," he said. "I think I was just up a little bit today. I didn't execute pitches like I wanted to. I got myself into some counts where predictable fastballs were coming, and I think if I could have executed those down, it would have been a different story, but I didn't."
