Davis went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's 8-3 win over the Red Sox.

Davis has now gone deep twice in his last four games, and his multi-hit effort was only his second of May. The slugging outfielder needs plenty of games like Thursday to resuscitate his monthly slash line, however, as it remains a paltry .148/.212/.262 despite his recent round-trippers. Consistent contact has been a big problem, as Davis' strikeout rate has risen from 27.2 percent to a career-high 29.7 percent this season, while his contact rate has seen a corresponding drop from 70 to 66 percent.
