Madson was able to notch his 19th save of the year in Saturday's 5-4 victory over the Blue Jays, despite giving up a solo homer over an inning.
The A's closer gave up a solo shot to Justin Smoak to open the ninth, before settling down and retiring Darwin Barney, the pinch-hitting Russell Martin and Ezequiel Carrera. The 35-year-old Madson has now converted two straight save opportunities after two consecutive blown saves, and is 19-for-24 in save chances overall on the season.
