Pompey is progressing in his recovery from a concussion and is expected to return to action soon, the Toronto Star reports.

Pompey, one of the Blue Jays' top outfield prospects, crashed into the left-field wall after making a full-speed running catch last Saturday. He was attended to on the field by team trainers, but played the game's final two innings and was expected to play in the nightcap as well. He was later diagnosed with a concussion and scratched from the lineup. Gil Kim, the Jays director of player development, said that Pompey is getting better and likely to be ready soon. Per MLB's concussion protocol, Pompey will have to be cleared by a medical professional not affiliated with the organization before he can return to action.
