Blue Jays' Ezequiel Carrera: Set to go on rehab assignment

Carrera (achilles) is expected to come off the DL when he becomes eligible August 16, Mike Wilner of Blue Jays Talk reports.

Carrera will head out on a rehab assignment at Triple-A Buffalo in the near future, but the club hopes to activate him as soon as they can. Carrera could be in line to see more time in the outfield in the coming weeks, as Jose Bautista was placed on the disabled list Wednesday with a sprained knee.
