Martin is batting second and playing third base Thursday against the Rangers, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Martin was given a breather Wednesday as part of the Blue Jays' initial lineup shakeup, but now that he's back in, this could be his normal place in the order for the time being. Of course, he won't always play third base -- Josh Donaldson occupies the designated hitter spot Thursday -- but Martin's move up to second increases his value for fantasy's most volatile offensive position. He's struggled with a .218 batting average but is still reaching base at an excellent clip (.376), which plays more to his strengths, and he's added seven home runs in 178 plate appearances.
