Braves send Ryan Buchter to Triple-A

The Braves optioned pitcher Ryan Buchter to Triple-A Gwinnett after Tuesday's game to clear a roster spot for Wednesday starter Alex Wood.

Buchter made just one appearance while with the Braves, striking out one and walking one during a scoreless inning Friday to pick up a win in his major-league debut. He returns to a 3.79 ERA and 35:21 K:BB ratio in 35 2/3 innings with Gwinnett.
