The Brewers selected Espino's contract from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Friday.

The 30-year-old right-hander will start Friday in Milwaukee's matinee against the Cubs, and left-hander Brent Suter was sent back to the Sky Sox in his place. Espino (4-0) has been brilliant in the Pacific Coast League, dealing a 2.54 ERA with a 9.2 K/9 and 1.2 BB/9, though his stay likely will be short despite Milwaukee moving Wily Peralta to the bullpen. Junior Guerra (calf) may return within the next week.
