Brewers recall pitcher Tyler Thornburg from Triple-A

The Brewers recalled pitcher Tyler Thornburg from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Friday to take the roster spot of reliever Jonathan Broxton, who was traded to St. Louis. This is the second time Thornburg is on the major-league roster in 2015.

Thornburg started the year in the Brewers bullpen before he joined the rotation at Colorado Springs in late April. He went 2-7 with a 5.28 ERA in 17 starts for Colorado Springs.
