Brewers' Ryan Braun: Concern following Thursday throwing session

Braun (arm) participated in some indoor throwing Thursday, but the results were not very positive, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Braun was originally only expected to miss a game or two with his arm ailment, but manager Craig Counsell's comments following the slugger's throwing session Thursday are a bit concerning. Counsell stated that further evaluation on Braun's arm would be necessary before the former MVP is able to return to the field. It's difficult to gauge just how serious the concern is based solely upon the manager's comments, so we'll await further word from the team in regards to Braun's status over the next couple of days. The Brewers open a three-game weekend series with the Pirates on Friday and then have next Monday off.
