Leake (4-2) allowed two runs on seven hits over seven innings while striking out five but didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's extra-inning loss to the Red Sox.

Trevor Rosenthal promptly allowed Boston to tie the game in the eighth inning as soon as Leake hit the showers, costing the 29-year-old righty his fifth win. He's now a perfect 8-for-8 in delivering quality starts this season, but his 2.03 ERA and 0.99 WHIP are due for some regression given his fortunate .256 BABIP and 83.7 percent strand rate. Leake will presumably get a couple extra days rest before next taking the mound Wednesday on the road against the Dodgers.
