Coghlan (ribs) left Saturday's game against the Mets in the fourth inning, FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports.
Javier Baez came in to pinch hit for Coghlan in the top half of the fourth inning after Coghlan aggravated his already sore ribs. According to Rosenthal, Coghlan has been battling through the rib soreness for a few days. If Coghlan ends up needing a stint on the disabled list, the Cubs could activate Tommy La Stella (hamstring) off the DL in a corresponding move to take his spot on the active roster.
