Fowler has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a hamstring injury, Jesse Rogers of ESPN Chicago reports.
Fowler has been out with the hamstring injury since Saturday. The results of an MRI over the weekend weren't enough to immediately send Fowler to the disabled list, which could be an indication that he won't be sidelined for long. The Cubs already have a 12.5-game lead in the National League Central, so they have no reason to rush Fowler back and risk his long-term health. We'll update if the Cubs offer any more details on the injury.
