Cubs ink Casper Wells, Carlos Pimentel to minors deals

According to Baseball America, the Cubs signed outfielder Casper Wells and pitcher Carlos Pimentel to minor league deals.

Wells played for the Phillies, White Sox and Athletics in 2013, hitting .126 in 95 at-bats.

Pimentel spent most of the 2013 season with the Rangers' Double-A affiliate in Frisco, but he finished at Triple-A Round Rock, posting a 1.59 ERA in six relief appearances.
