Cubs' Kyle Schwarber: Moves to two-hole

Schwarber is hitting second and starting in left field Saturday against the Brewers.

This is his first start in the two-hole this season, with 142 of his 148 at-bats coming in the leadoff spot. The Cubs are clearly looking for a way to get their young slugger going at the plate, and perhaps he will be more effective hitting behind Ben Zobrist and in front of Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo. Schwarber is hitting .182/.305/.351 with six home runs in 174 plate appearances. His .226 BABIP is largely responsible for the low batting average, but it is worth pointing out that his 20.2 percent soft-hit rate is notably higher than the 15.4 percent soft-hit rate he posted in 2015.
