Dodgers' Brett Anderson: Eyeing mid-August return

Anderson (back) could be ready to return to the Dodgers sometime in mid-August, per manager Dave Roberts, Andy McCullough of the LA Times reports.

Anderson threw a bullpen session Tuesday for the first time since undergoing back surgery in early March, and he was spotted playing catch on the field Wednesday morning. The Dodgers haven't offered a specific return date, but the team is optimistic that Anderson can be back in mid-August if he continues to progress as expected.
