Fien was outirghted by the Dodgers on Thursday.
Fien was sent down to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, but he managed to clear waivers and is officially off the 40-man roster. He'll likely act as organizational pitching depth going forward, although his major league experience could factor in to decisions if the Dodgers get especially thin in the bullpen later this season.
