Baez (thumb) is scheduled to throw another bullpen session on Tuesday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Baez has been dealing with a thumb injury for the majority of camp, which has kept him from pitching in a live game. Tuesday will mark his second bullpen in three days, which is good news; he attempted to return a couple of weeks ago, but was again shut down after experiencing pain in his thumb. If all goes well Tuesday, he'll move one step closer to live game action, though his status for Opening Day remains questionable due to his lack of work. When the 29-year-old returns, he should continue to serve as an important piece of the Dodgers' bullpen, although his role could be reduced with the emergence of Grant Dayton and the signing of Sergio Romo.
