Dodgers recall Ian Thomas, option Eric Surkamp to minors

The Dodgers recalled pitcher Ian Thomas from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, manager Don Mattingly said, per SB Nation.

Thomas was 3-1 with a 7.09 ERA in six games--five starts--at Oklahoma City. He suffered a loss in his only appearance with the Dodgers this year. 

To make room, Los Angeles optioned pitcher Eric Surkamp to Triple-A. Surkamp gave up four runs on four hits in his only appearance with the Dodgers.
