Lee was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
The team needed to clear a spot on the roster for the returning Carl Crawford (back), and Lee was the casualty. Lee was recalled Saturday to provide some bullpen depth but did not end up making an appearance during his stint with the big club. It seems likely Lee will return to a starting role with Oklahoma City.
