Giants' Hunter Pence: Drives in lone run with pinch-hit walk-off double

Pence (hamstring) drove in the only run of the game with a pinch-hit, walk-off RBI double Monday against the Padres.

Pence didn't start despite participating in pregame warmups, but proved to be healthy enough to be the difference-maker in his first action since May 20, driving in Brandon Belt all the way from first base with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. Nobody should be more grateful than the man he pinch hit for, as starter Johnny Cueto was in line for a no-decision at that point despite pitching nine innings of two-hit ball. Expect Pence back in his regular full-time role before long.
