Parker went 2-for-4 with his fourth spring training home run in Saturday's loss to Seattle.

The 28-year-old continues to mash the ball this spring, slashing .333/.455/.694 in 43 Cactus League plate appearances. Parker entered camp as the favorite to win the Giants' starting left field job, and he has done nothing to displace himself from that position. While manager Bruce Bochy hasn't officially named a starter, it appears inevitable that the slugging lefty will see the majority of at-bats in left once Opening Day arrives. Parker has already displayed improved patience at the plate (0.88 BB/K this spring) after struggling with with his discipline last year (0.43 BB/K in 151 plate appearances). Should he win the job, the vet could be a cheap source of 20-plus homers over the course of a whole season, even if he is benched against left-handed pitchers (4-for-39 against them last season).
