Williamson was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Williamson will finally get his shot with the Giants this season after losing out on the starting left field job in spring training due to a quadriceps injury. He'll take the roster spot of Hunter Pence, who was recently placed on the disabled list. Williamson was slashing .266/.333/.430 with three homers before being recalled. He and Gorkys Hernandez are candidates to temporarily fill in for Pence in right field.
