Indians' Cody Allen: Notches 11th save Friday

Allen worked a perfect ninth inning in Friday's 5-3 win over the Astros to pick up his 11th save of the season.

He failed to strike anyone out, ending a streak of 13 consecutive appearances with at least one K, but Allen's 15.1 K/9 through 16.2 innings is still a career-high pace. In fact, his 1.62 ERA may actually be doing his performance to date a disservice, as it's supported by a bloated .406 BABIP. Even with Andrew Miller around, Allen appears to be one of the AL's most secure closers.
