Miranda allowed eight earned runs on six hits and three walks over 3.1 innings Tuesday against Philadelphia. He struck out one and received a no-decision in Seattle's win.

Miranda was crushed Tuesday, giving up two long balls in the short outing and inflating his ERA to 5.20. The 28-year-old lefty threw only 69 pitches before getting the hook in this one, and the two runners he was responsible for upon departing ended up scoring. There's very little fantasy upside for him, and this outing didn't help his case to keep a rotation spot once Drew Smyly (elbow) returns to action. Miranda will make his next start on Sunday at Toronto.
