Mariners outfielder Nelson Cruz finally made it back into the starting lineup Thursday against the Rangers after missing six straight starts due to a strained quad.

Manager Lloyd McClendon said Cruz is not 100 percent and the veteran outfielder will need to "temper" his running on the basepaths.

Cruz is mired in a 4-for-29 slump in his last seven games. However, he still has a .329/.401/.707/1.108 slash line in his last 40 games.
