Indians outfielder Matt Carson return to action Monday, going 0 for 2 and striking out once in his team's 5-4 loss to the Reds.

Carson was bothered by a hand injury over the weekend but needed just two days off before getting back on the field. He has hit .269/.367/.462 with one home run and four RBI in 26 at-bats.
