Conforto is in a straight outfield platoon, sitting whenever a lefty is on the mound in a National League ballpark, according to manager Terry Collins, Newsday's Marc Carig reports. "We're in a situation where we're trying to win games. This is not a time to develop players," Collins said.

This is awfully frustrating for Conforto's owners, although everyone knew it was a possibility heading into the year after the Mets re-signed Yoenis Cespedes. It seems like the only chance Conforto has to get in the lineup against lefties outside of road interleague play is if Juan Lagares or Curtis Granderson start to really struggle against lefties. This means owners in weekly leagues will need to look ahead at the schedule and be sure to get a better option in there when the Mets are on tap to face several lefties in a certain week.
