Lugo (arm) indicated that he plans to start throwing Monday, MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports.

Though Lugo will begin the season on the 10-day disabled list, the Mets aren't too concerned with the inflammation he's experienced in his throwing elbow; they decided to hold him out strictly as a precaution. It's not expected that he'll endure any problems when he starts throwing again, so there's a good possibility that the Mets will activate him as soon as the 10 days pass.
