Turner (2-2) gave up three runs on four hits and four walks while striking out just one batter in 5.1 innings against the Pirates on Wednesday.

He also hit a batter. All in all, Turner was lucky to get away with just three runs on his ledger after falling apart in the sixth inning, when he allowed all his runs. The nearly 26-year-old righty has had an unusual season; he posted a strong start against the Rockies at Coors Field right after being called up, then looked decent in the bullpen, and now he's faded late against a struggling offense, seemingly tiring early upon returning to the rotation. Turner's history of posting awful K/BB ratios makes this start all the more troubling. It's not yet clear whether he'll hold on to his rotation spot, but if he does, he'll be lined up to start Tuesday against Seattle.
