Nationals' Jacob Turner: Inks minor league deal with Nationals

Turner signed a minor league deal with the Nationals on Tuesday that includes an invitation to spring training, the Washington Post's Chelsea Janes reports.

The time has long since passed when people could realistically wait on a breakout year from the former top pitching prospect. Turner has a 5.09 ERA and 210:123 K:BB over 323.1 big league innings. He should serve as organizational depth at the Triple-A level for the Nationals in 2017.
